Samsung launched its Galaxy A5 (2016) and the Galaxy A7 (2016) smartphones for India, which was first introduced in China in December last year. Just like their predecessors, the Galaxy A5 and A7 2016 editions also sports premium metal and glass builds and also equipped with fingerprint sensors and Optical Image Stabilization.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 2016 variants have some specifications that are common. They run Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box and are powered by 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos SoC processors. For storage, they get 16GB of internal memory and can be further extended upto 128GB by micrSD cards. They sports 13MP rear snappers with optical image stabilization (OIS) and LED flash, and 5MP selfie shooters. They front and rear cameras come with f/1.9 aperture lenses, which promise better low-light photography. Connectivity-wise, the duo offer 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, NFC, ANT+, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, and A-GPS. Both phones also support fast charging.

Individually, the Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 comes with a 5.2-inch full HD Super AMOLED display, 2GB of RAM, and a 2900mAh battery. The Galaxy A7 2016 on the other hand, flaunts a larger 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, 3GB of RAM, and a 3300mAh battery.

The Galaxy A5 2016 is priced at Rs 29,400 and the Galaxy A7 2016 at Rs 33,400. Both the Galaxy A5 and the Galaxy A7 will be available on Snapdeal (exclusive online partner) and also at several offline retail shops starting from February 15, and will be sold in Gold, Black and White colors.
